GDPR
A new European Union law, called the General Data Protection Regulation or “GDPR” gives certain rights to individuals in relation to their personal data. Accordingly, we have implemented transparency and access controls to recognize these rights. As available and except as limited under applicable law, the rights afforded to individuals are:
- Right of Access: The right to be informed of and request access to the personal data we process about you;
- Right to Rectification: The right to request that we amend or update your personal data where it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Right to Erasure: The right to request that we delete your personal data;
- Right to Restrict: The right to request that we temporarily or permanently stop processing all or some of your personal data;
- Right to Object:
- The right, at any time, to object to us processing your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation;
- The right to object to your personal data being processed for direct marketing purposes;
- Right to Data Portability: The right to request a copy of your personal data in electronic format and the right to transmit that personal data for use in another party’s service; and
- Right not to be subject to Automated Decision-making: The right to not be subject to a decision based solely on automated decision making, including profiling, where the decision would have a legal effect on you or produce a similarly significant effect.
In order to exercise these rights with ease and to record your preferences, you can opt out of any data collection by emailing hello@myplinkit.com with the specific opt out request.
If we send you electronic marketing messages based on your consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable law, you may, at any time, respectively withdraw such consent or declare your objection (“opt-out”) at no cost. The electronic marketing messages you receive include an opt-out mechanism within the message itself.
You can find out more about the GDPR rights described above and the controls we provide with respect to these rights by contacting hello@myplinkit.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable period of time upon verification of your identity.
How We Collect Your Information
You can access some areas of the Services without submitting any personally identifiable information. PLINKIT collects personally identifiable information if you choose to register for a user account with the Services, subscribe to newsletters, or request information or assistance or as indicated through the Services.
We ask for personal information such as your name and email address when you register for a user account with the Services, or if you correspond with us (in which case we will retain our responses). We also may retain any messages you send through the Services, and collect information you provide in your user profile to the Services such as your title, information about your children, postal code and any other personally identifiable information that you choose to include in your submissions to us. You represent and warrant that you have the right and authority to provide any information provided by you. PLINKIT may also collect certain non-personally identifiable information in connection with the operation of the Services, including IP addresses, browser or operating system information, data on advertisements or links on which you click, and the websites that you visit before or after you visit the Services. Such information is maintained by PLINKIT or service providers acting on behalf of others.
User-generated content: If you send us any information or otherwise share any information through the Services you are solely responsible for the content of your messages. You should be aware that when you voluntarily publicly disclose personally identifying information on the Services, that information may be read, collected and used by other users of the Services and may result in unsolicited messages, both commercial and otherwise.
Cookies: PLINKIT may use cookies to gather information about your visits to the Services in order to enhance your experience. A cookie is a small string of information that the website you visit transfers to your computer for identification purposes. Cookies can be used to follow your activity on the Services and that information helps us to understand your preferences and improve your experience with the Services. Cookies are also used for such activities as remembering your user name and password, if necessary. You can turn off all cookies if you prefer not to receive them. You can also have your computer warn you whenever cookies are being used. For both options you have to adjust your browser settings. There are also software products available that can manage cookies for you. Please be aware, however, that when you choose to reject cookies, this choice may limit the functionality of the Services.
Website Analytics: PLINKIT may use third party services to help analyze how you use our Services. These analytic services use cookies (see above). The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Services is transmitted to the Services. This information is then used to evaluate various uses of the Services and to compile statistical reports on the Services’ activity for us, and us alone. We will never (and will not allow any third party to), without your consent, use these analytics service tools to track or to collect any of your personally identifiable information.
No Spyware or Adware: We do not install any spyware or adware in connection with our Services or distribute any commercial message, or authorize any third party to distribute any commercial message, by means of spyware or adware. “Spyware” or “adware” is any software which has been downloaded to or installed on an Internet user’s computer or device, without the user’s actual consent, and facilitates the distribution of any commercial message to the user. If you feel you may have spyware from another company installed on your machine or device, there are various anti-spyware/adware software applications available on the Internet to identify if this has occurred.

We may share your personal information with our subsidiaries or affiliates or third party business partners for the purpose of providing the Services to you (e.g., email and server providers, payment processors, support services, website services, delivering promotional materials, answering customer questions about our services and new services, etc.). PLINKIT will only provide those third party partners with the personally identifiable information they need to deliver the services to us and/or on our behalf, and they will be contractually prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. In the event PLINKIT is involved in a transaction such as a merger, stock purchase or sale, or sale of substantially all of PLINKIT assets, your personal information may be transferred to the other party in such transaction.
PLINKIT reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information if required to do so by law or legal process or otherwise requested by any law enforcement officer or agency acting under color of law or with your consent.
